PGDBCL –POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS AND CORPORATE LAW

It teaches you to deal with the new challenges in the corporate world and unravel difficult legal complexities. It imparts important knowledge of the laws of the land to help clients avoid time-consuming and expensive litigations and an understanding of various business and corporate legislations.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

  • PGDBCL Program aims at imparting knowledge of various business and corporate legislations.
  • It includes recent acts such as the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 and the Companies Act, 2013 with The Companies (Amendment) Act, 2015.
  • Familiarizes students with international business laws and laws related to banking.
  • Covers mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment, due diligence procedure, alternative dispute resolution mechanisms etc.

SEMESTER I:

Course Title

  • Corporate Law
  • International Economic Law
  • Consumer Protection Act, 1986 and Competition Act, 2002

SEMESTER II:

Course Title

  • Corporate Restructure Law
  • Corporate Finance Law
  • Dispute Resolution Law
  • Laws Related to Banking
  • Bachelor degree holder / Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University.
  • International / SAARC Graduate from a recognised / accredited University /Institution.
  • Students who have appeared in their final year examination of Bachelor degree program / graduation degree course and are yet to pass the final year examination of Bachelor degree program, can also apply, subject to successful completion of their Bachelor degree program / graduation within the time period specified by SCDL.

Application Form Fees (Non-refundable):

  • For Indian Residents (General / Defence Personnel / Paramilitary / Police): Rs. 1000/-
  • International : USD 100 OR Rs. 7,100/-
  • SAARC : USD 100 OR Rs. 7,100/-

Program Fees: Students have two options of paying the fees as mentioned below:
A] Option 1 – One Time Payment:- Student has to pay the full course fees in one time payment, within 30 days from the date of admission

  • General: Rs. 35,000/-
  • Active Defence / Paramilitary / Police: Rs. 30,000/-
  • International : USD 1,500 or Rs. 1,06,500/-
  • SAARC : USD 850 or Rs. 60,350/-

B] Option 2 - Two-Installments: Student has to pay the course fees in two installments as follows:

Category 1st Installment - Pay within 15 days
from the date of admission		 2nd Installment - Pay within 30 days from the
date of payment of 1st Installment
General Rs. 26,000/- Rs. 14,000/-
Active Defence/ Paramilitary / Police Rs. 23,000/- Rs. 12,000/-
International USD 1200 or Rs. 85,200/- USD 600 or Rs. 42,600/-
SAARC USD 700 or Rs. 49,700/- USD 300 or Rs. 21,300/-

Note:

  • Participants are required to pay additional exam fees per exam per attempt.

Fee Payment Mode: Fees can be paid Online or by Demand Draft.

  • Payment via Online: this can be done through payment gateway.
  • Payment via DD: this can be submitted at SCDL Pune campus. The Demand Draft needs to be in favor of "The Director, SCDL, Pune" payable at Pune only.
