PGDSC - Post Graduate Diploma in School Counselling

GET READY FOR THE WORLD STAGE

In a rapidly changing socio-economic environment, the children of today are always under stress. This has created a need for school counsellors at all levels of school education. Thus school counsellors have become vital members of the education team and are responsible for the mental well being of the students. This program will build concepts of child psychology, abnormal psychology and learning difficulties, enabling students to identify the psychological need of the school children & provide guidance. Students enrolling for this program will learn basic counselling techniques and methods of psychological testing.
PG Diploma in School Counselling thus will equip students to work as a school counsellor at all levels effectively.

SEMESTER I:

SEMESTER II:

Course Title

  • Learning Difficulties
  • Basics of Counselling, Techniques and Practices
  • Psychological Testing
  • Submission
  • Bachelor degree holder /Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university.
  • International/SAARC Graduate from a recognised/accredited University/Institution.
  • Students who have appeared for the final year of examination of their bachelor's degree program and are awaiting results can also apply, subject to completing their bachelor's degree program/graduation within the period specified by SCDL.

Application Form Fees (Non-refundable):

  • For Indian Residents (General / Defence Personnel / Paramilitary / Police): Rs. 1000/-
  • International / SAARC: USD 100 OR Rs. 7,100/-

Program Fees: Students have two options of paying the fees as mentioned below:
A] Option 1 – One Time Payment:- Student has to pay the full course fees in a one-time payment, within 15 days from the date of admission

  • General: Rs. 23,000/-
  • Active Defence / Paramilitary / Police: Rs. 21,000/-
  • International : USD 1,500 or Rs. 1,06,500/-
  • SAARC : USD 850 or Rs. 60,350/-

B] Option 2 - Two-Installments: Student has to pay the course fees in two installments as follows:

date of payment of 1st Installment

Active Defence/ Paramilitary / Police Rs. 17,000/- Rs. 8,000/-

SAARC USD 700 or Rs. 49,700/- USD 300 or Rs. 21,300/-

Note:

  • Participants are required to pay exam fees per exam per attempt separately. Exam Fee is not a part of Program Fee.

Fee Payment Mode: Fees can be paid online or by demand draft.

  • Payment via Online: this can be done through payment gateway.
  • Payment via DD: this can be submitted at SCDL Pune campus. The Demand Draft needs to be in favor of "The Director, SCDL, Pune" payable at Pune only.
